ABOUT
Julia Zac is a a choreographer and dancer franco argentinian. She received academic training at the National University of the Arts of Buenos Aires (UNA) in choreographic interpretation and composition, leading to a master's degree in "New trends in contemporary dance."
In 2014 she moved to Paris, where she continued her independent training at CND. At the same time, she begins to integrate into the ballroom scene in Paris, where she participates in balls and fashion events.
In recent years, she has presented her latest creations at the Blue Project Foundation (Esp), Festival10 Sentidos (Esp), Museo del Carmen (Esp), Centro Conde Duque (Esp), among others.
She currently lives and develops most of her work in Spain and she is also co-director of Club Mutante, an event that tries to energize the dance community in Spain.
Her work stands out for its visual clarity, the architectural sensitivity of space and the use of new technologies.
Her movement research is influenced by less institutionalized techniques like tutting, electro, and voguing by creating her minimalist and geometric language and taking the audience into an immersive and contemplative experience.
Her practice is almost always collaborative, combining tools of sound creation, fashion and visual arts, resulting in highly original and visual performances.
