Julia Zac is an artist, born in Buenos Aires and based in Valencia, where she lives and works.
Her practice emerges from choreography and dance, in dialogue with diverse performative languages and techniques. She is interested in creating performances from very simple gestures, in a highly visual way, using the body and choreography as starting points. Through this approach, she uncovers the intricate layers hidden within the seemingly simple. She often works in theatrical and museum contexts, developing both group and solo pieces. In the process, she cultivates a singular bodily language, remaining attentive and responsive to the present.
