Devices for editable sequences is a performance that brings together a set of short movement sequences. They follow one another and are repeated in a loop throughout the performance, at the same time are subject to variations and changes.
This performance plays with the idea that the body is an editable material, making a nod to the video editing tools that have become more popular over the years and that new generations often use on social networks directly from their mobile phones.
This performance was created and played during my pregnancy.

This performance has been produced thanks to the residency program for young people from Ayuntamiento de Valencia (Valencia City Council) as well as the funds for artistic productions by Ayuntamiento de Valencia (Valencia City Council) and Instituto Valenciano De Cultura (Valencian Institute for Culture) and the creation residency program from Centre Civic de la Barceloneta (Barcelona).
This piece raises the question of how two bodies can share a battlefield without being physically in the same place. The artists bring the separation of bodies imposed by the health crisis to the same space. Each person lives and moves in their own virtual space, but they share the same room.
For their conceptualization, they start from the premises that Doel and Clarke established on virtual reality in 2005, which they understood as the final resolution of a world full of imperfections.
Virtual technology allows us to fulfill the dream of updating time and space at our whim, being/fighting together despite being each in our separate setting.

The piece emerges from the interest of the artists and choreographers, Julia Zac and Ulrico Eguizábal Catena, in exploring dancing and the performing arts as a tool to query and raise awareness on how scientific and technological developments transform the social, material and political relationships. Asking how technology affects the body in the contemporary world is part of the process of the piece. The performance is organized into a series of repeated and necessary appearances and departures from the scene that has the purpose of showing the trial and error to which organisms are subjected to; the returning to the starting point, the resetting. The bodies crash against each other, they reprogram each other through well-defined movement patterns, they repeatedly join and separate themselves, they complement each other; with the aspiration of improving their performance and finding what would make them perfect, immortal. I-4 (B-sides) presents a novel idea of the organism body-machine, which is characterized by clumsiness, but at the same time intelligence, showing the mechanic and the human side of the performers. That notion of the machine as something that pursues a functional and logical way of movement, but that also reveals the human side, that is, the cyborg.
